Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, umur perusahaan dan profitabilitas terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2017-2019. Penelitian ini, menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif, yang diukur dengan menggunakan metoda berbasis regresi linier berganda dengan SPSS 24. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2017 sampai dengan tahun 2019. Sampel ditentukan berdasarkan metode purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 17 perusahaan pertambangan sehingga total observasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 51 observasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metoda dokumentasi melalui situs www.edusaham.com dan situs resmi Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) www.idx.co.id. pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian membuktikkan bahwa (1) ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI pada periode 2017-2019, (2) umur perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI pada periode 2017-2019, (3) profitabilitas berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI pada periode 2017-2019, (4) terdapat pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, umur perusahaan dan profitabilitas secara simultan terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI pada periode 2017-2019. Kata kunci: Ukuran perusahaan, Umur Perusahaan, Profitabilitas, dan Manajemen laba. ABSTRACT This study aims to examine whether the effect of company size, company age and profitability on earnings management in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2019 period. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, which is measured using a multiple linear regression-based method with SPSS 24. The population of this study are mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2017 to 2019. The sample is determined based on the purposive method. sampling, with a sample of 17 mining companies so that the total observations in this study were 51 observations. The data used in this research is secondary data. The data collection technique used the documentation method through the website www.edusaham.com and the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) www.idx.co.id . hypothesis testing using t test. The results of the study prove that (1) company size has no effect on earnings management in mining companies listed on the IDX in the 2017-2019 period, (2) company age has no effect on earnings management in mining companies listed on the IDX in the 2017-2019 period, (3) profitability has a significant positive effect on earnings management in mining companies listed on the IDX in the 2017-2019 period, (4) there is a simultaneous effect of company size, company age and profitability on earnings management in mining companies listed on the IDX in the 2017-2019 period.
