Abstract
ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari profitabilitas, leverage, ukuran perusahaan, kebijakan dividen dan book to market equity terhadap return saham perusahaan barang baku yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2016-2020. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 89 perusahaan dengan Sampel penelitian berjumlah 58 perusahaan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah metode purposive sampling dan dipilih sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda menggunakan software eviews 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa profitabilitas yang diproksikan dengan return on asset (ROA), ukuran perusahaan (SIZE) dan book to market equity ratio (BME) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap return saham. Kebijakan dividen yang diproksikan dengan dividen payout ratio (DPR) berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap return saham. Sedangkan, leverage yang diproksikan dengan debt to equity ratio (DER) tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap return saham. ABSTRACT This study is aimed to determine the effect of profitability, leverage, firm size, dividend policy, and book to market equity on stock returns. The population in this study is basic materials companies listed on the IDX for 2016 to 2020 with a total of 89 companies. The 58 companies as samples, selection determine using the purposive sampling method and selected according to the criteria. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with Eviews 12 application. This study’s results showed that profitability proxies by Return on Assets (ROA), firm size (Size), and Book to market equity (BME) had a positive and significant effect on stock returns. The dividend policy proxies by Dividend payout ratio (DPR) has a negative and significant effect on stock return. Meanwhile, leverage proxies by Debt to equity ratio (DER) has no effect on stock returns.
