Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah anggota DPS, multijabatan anggota DPS, anggota DPS dari kalangan ahli keuangan, anggota DPS dari pendidikan doctoral, dan frekuensi pertemuan/rapat anggota DPS terhadap kinerja sosial Bank Syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Bank Umum Syariah yang terdaftar dalam OJK, menyediakan sustainability report dan annual report secara berturut-turut selama periode tahun 2018-2020 dan menyediakan data yang terkait dengan variabel peneilitian. Sampel ditentukan berdasarkan metode Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 14 BSU. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan data yang bersifat kuantitatif yaitu berupa hasil pengamatan peneliti menggunakan software Eviews untuk mengukur kinerja sosial bank syariah. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa: 1) Jumlah anggota dewan pengawas syariah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sosial. 2) Multijabatan dewan pengawas syariah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sosial. 3) Keahlian keuangan dewan pengawas syariah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sosial. 4) Pendidikan doktoral dewan pengawas syariah tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sosial. 5) Frekuensi rapat dewan pengawas syariah tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sosial.Banyak jumlah anggota DPS, multijabatan DPS, ahli keuangan yang menjabat menjadi DPS akan semakin meningkatan kinerja sosial Bank Syariah hal itu karena dapat memonitoring secara langsung kegiatan Bank Syariah. Sedangkan untuk kualifikasi pendidikan doctoral tidak memberikan jaminan kinerja sosial Bank Syariah yang baik dan frekeunsi rapat perlu diperhatikan lagi karena semakin tinggi intensitas rapat maka akan semakin tinggi kinerja yang dilakukan oleh Bank Syariah. Kata kunci : Bank Syariah, Dewan Pengawas Syariah, Efektifitas, Kinerja Sosial This study aims to determine the effect of the number of DPS members, multi-position DPS members, DPS members from financial experts, DPS members from doctoral education, and the frequency of DPS member meetings/meetings on the social performance of Islamic Banks. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study is Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the OJK, providing sustainability reports and annual reports respectively during the period 2018-2020 and providing data related to research variables. The sample was determined based on the purposive sampling method with a total sample of 14 BSU. In this study, researchers used quantitative data in the form of observations by researchers using Eviews software to measure the social performance of Islamic banks. The results of the study prove that: 1) The number of members of the sharia supervisory board has an effect on social performance. 2) Multi-position sharia supervisory board has an effect on social performance. 3) The financial expertise of the sharia supervisory board has an effect on social performance. 4) Doctoral education of the sharia supervisory board has no effect on social performance. 5) The frequency of sharia supervisory board meetings has no effect on social performance. The large number of DPS members, multi-position DPS, financial experts who serve as DPS will further improve the social performance of Islamic Banks because they can directly monitor the activities of Islamic Banks. Meanwhile, the qualification of doctoral education does not guarantee good social performance of Islamic Banks and the frequency of meetings needs to be considered again because the higher the intensity of meetings, the higher the performance of the Islamic Bank.
