Abstract

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN REWARD DAN PUNISHMENT TERHADAP DISIPLIN KERJA KARYAWAN (Studi Kasus Pada PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes) ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rewards dan punishment karyawan terhadap peningkatan disiplin kerja karyawan PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes. Rewards (X1) dan punishment (X2) menjadi variabel bebas atau independen dan kinerja karyawan (Y) menjadi variabel dependen atau variabel terikat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi sejumlah 50 orang, sedangkan untuk jumlah sampel sejumlah 25 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Non-Probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan software SPSS 22.0 for Windows dan dijabarkan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa disiplin kerja di PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes sudah mencapai tahap yang baik dan patut untuk dipertahankan kedepannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara rewards terhadap peningkatan disiplin kerja karyawan, hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari kategori rewards penyelesaian tugas yang diterapkan di PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes sangat baik karena presentase menunjukan 89%. Dan kategori punishment, menunjukkan bahwa responden menraih respon sebesar 86%. Hal ini mempengaruhi disiplin kerja karyawan mendapatkan presentase sebesar 88%. Karena penghargaan dan hukuman akan memberikan kepuasan dan kecintaan karyawan terhadap organisasi atau pekerjaanya. Jika kecintaan karyawan semakin baik terhadap pekerjaan, kedisiplinan mereka akan baik pula. Kata Kunci : Rewards , Punishment dan Disiplin Kerja. The Effect of Reward and Punishment on Employee Discipline (Case Study at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes) ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of employee rewards and punishments on the improvement of work discipline of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes. Rewards (X1) and punishment (X2) become independent or independent variables and employee performance (Y) becomes the dependent variable or the dependent variable. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population is 50 people, while the sample size is 25 respondents with the sampling technique using Non-Probability sampling. The technique of collecting data was by distributing questionnaires, while data analysis was carried out using SPSS 22.0 for Windows software and described using descriptive analysis. The research results prove that the work discipline at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes has reached a good stage and deserves to be maintained in the future. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect between rewards on increasing employee work discipline, it was shown from the rewards category for task completion applied at PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Brebes is very good because the percentage shows 89%. And the punishment category, shows that the respondent gets a response of 86%. This affects the work discipline of employees, getting a percentage of 88%. Because rewards and punishments will give employees satisfaction and love for the organization or their work. If the employee's love for work is getting better, their discipline will be good too. Keywords: Rewards, Punishment and Employee Discipline.
