Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis mengenai faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa akuntansi dalam pemilihan karir sebagai Akuntan Publik. Faktor –faktor yang mempengaruhi terhadap pemilihan karir menjadi Akuntan Publik diukur dengan variabel nilai intrinsik pekerjaan, penghargaan finansial/gaji, pelatihan profesional, pengakuan profesional, lingkungan kerja dan personalitas pekerjaan. Metode penelitian ini adalah survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data primer. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Strata-1 Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Tahun Ajaran 2015-2016. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan didapat sebanyak 102 responden. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dan diolah menggunakan SPSS 23. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar kepada responden dan dokumentasi berupa buku, jurnal, dan website. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji statistik t, uji statistik f, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel nilai intrinsik, lingkungan kerja dan personalitas pekerjaan pekerjaan memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam pemilihan karir sebagai akuntan publik tetapi untuk variable penghargaan finansial, pelatihan professional dan pengakuan professional tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemilihan karir sebagai akuntan publik. Kata Kunci: nilai intrinsik pekerjaan, penghargaan finansial/gaji, pelatihan ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the factors that influence accounting students in the selection of a public accounting career. Factors influencing the selection of a public accounting career with a variable measured the intrinsic value of work, salary, professional training, professional recognition, work environment and personality. This research method is survey with quantitative approach. The data used in this study are primary data. The population in this study is a student of Strata-1 Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia year 2015-2016. The sample was chosen by using purposive sampling method and obtained as many as 102 respondents. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple linear regression analysis and processed using SPSS 23. Data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed to the respondents and documentation in the form of books, journals, and websites. Hypothesis testing using statistical test t, statistical test f, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that the variables of intrinsic value of work , work environment and personality have significant effect on career selection to become public accountants. However salary, professional training and professional recognition variables do not have significant effect on career selection to become public accountants.
